PD with English Department will be done on proper research strategies, citing resources, tools and resources for students to use. This will be done in 3 separate 1 hour sessions during their planning time. ITF/Media Goals for PD
Teacher will be able to demonstrate proper internet research strategies.
Using search engines on the web/Evaluate resources for validity
Using online databases as web resources (ex: EBSCO, InfoTrac)
Teacher will be able to demonstate strategies for extracting relevant information from web resources
Teacher will be able to demonstrate the use of Citation Maker (an online resource) and/or the citation tool in Microsoft Office 2007.
